ZhuZhu Pets are battery powered toy hamsters manufactured by Cepia LLC, the company that manufactured Go Go Pets, also motorized hamster toys.  ZhuZhu Pets are released on September 1, 2009.

Product Description: Three different ZhuZhu Pets that are motorized Hamsters. Each Hamster has its own unique personality and whimsical sounds. Three characters include Mr. Squiggles, Num Nums and Chunk. The product measures 4.5 x 2.2 x 2.5 inches ; 1 pounds.

Product Features:

  • Hamsters are smart motorized critters that are programmed to play in or out of their environments
  • Push a button on their back to activate the nurture or loving mode and hear them chatter while you pet them or love them
  • Push another button to start the Explore Mode and that will let them scoot, scamper or bump and boogie across the floor
  • Each Hamster has its own individual characteristics along with a variety of special expressions
  • ZhuZhu Pets chatter and scatter like a real hamster only you don’t have to feed or clean up after them

These pets are manufactured in China, and their names are Chinese pinyin of pigs which are also one of many Chinese names for hamsters. Cepia LLC, however, is located in Saint Louise, Washington.
